Two more!

This piece looks similar to one I did before.....but it blew up, so I thought I'd try it again. I am playing with both ends, making the pieces more sculptural. They are also much more fragile....I must like playing with fire! Fragile and Raku hardly go together....but I'll sure try!

Hermit Crab in his shell. Now all I have to do is wait patiently as they dry...for a few weeks before firing them in the bisque kiln.
Talk about patience...I am trying to get a hold of Randy Brodnax. I want him to build me a kiln for my backyard firings and haven't been able to get in touch with him yet.

  1. Hi Ellen! My name is Kate and I found your blog through Caroline's blog "Myjourneytoneverland". Your pottery is truly lovely and unique! I'm looking forward to "following" it! I'm a collage, mixed media and assemblage artist. My blog is called Pieces of Me. Come by for a visit sometime! All the best and keep on creating!
